Dear Parents and Carers,

It gives me great pleasure to welcome you and your child to Cranberry Academy. This website is intended to help you know more about the life and work of our school.

Obviously this website can only give a glimpse of our work so I hope that you will find time to visit us and experience the unique atmosphere of our school. A very warm welcome awaits you.

At Cranberry the children are offered an exciting, fun and creative curriculum. In addition to gaining language, mathematical and scientific skills your child will also be encouraged to build confidence, develop self-reliance, learn to make decisions and develop the ability to articulate feelings and ideas. We also offer a broad range of extra-curricular clubs and sporting activities in order to support and further extend the work that is done in class

We believe in the importance of the development of the children’s social skills and we encourage our children to develop self-discipline, show respect for all other people and for their surroundings. We also believe that we can only achieve the best for your child by close co-operation between home and school. There will be many opportunities for you to find out about and share in the education of your child and I and my staff are always available to talk to you about any aspect of your child’s development.

Childhood is a very special time, in working together we can ensure that your child learns and grows in an exciting, challenging, happy and caring environment.
